NO

EDIT

FROM GW

Will there be a subscription fee for Guild Wars? Are there any other fees, such as for patches or updates?

There is no a subscription fee of any kind, anywhere in the world and there are no hidden fees. You do not have to pay for the streaming updates that will take place on a regular basis, nor for additional content that we will provide between the chapters of Guild Wars.

Monatly is sort of a German-english amalgam. Monat is German for month.

You don't pay for anything, except for sending me a Subway sub once a month.

Toasted chicken bacon ranch, green peppers, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, honey mustard and ranch dressing.

Looking forward to it next month. =)

Ugh. This question is answered on the FAQ on the official site, as well as on the game box. It has now also been answered in this thread. This thread serves no useful purpose anymore. Of course, very few in Off-Topic & the Absurd do, but in this case, it was a question about the game, and not at all an absurd one, and therefore not on-topic for this off-topic forum. (Don't think about that too hard.) In any case, thread closed.
